Sophie has 30+ years of experience in the capital market. Sophie started as a stockbroker and has participated in several IPOs. After that, for 20+ years, she has successfully been working for listed-large cap companies like Wärtsilä, KONE, Fortum, responsible for investor relations and financial communications. One of the most prominent recognitions for her work was being chosen best IRO in Europe.
Furthermore, she has extensive experience with smaller listed companies and start-ups, particularly she is interested in sustainability strategy and integrating sustainability into financial communications. Strategy, leadership, and the organizational ability to grow internationally drive her thinking.
Sophie is proactive, curious, and goal-oriented. She adapts quickly to change and works well under pressure. Therefore, new situations or surprising events do not startle her, as she has learned to handle them effectively and resolve any upcoming issues.
Sophie has a Master of Science in Economics. In addition, she has completed Stockbroker and Optionbroker exams, entered the Boardman’s program for Board Work, and attended several leadership courses at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland and in Sweden (Ruter Dam). She currently studies executive coaching at Henley Business School, to even better support organizations in their growth opportunity.
