Vesa Koivumaa Joins HTGP as a Growth Advisor to Strengthen International Growth and Maritime Industry Expertise

HTGP is strengthening its Growth Advisor network with the appointment of Vesa Koivumaa as a Growth Advisor. Koivumaa brings more than 20 years of international business experience spanning sales leadership, technology businesses, and maritime industry growth initiatives, particularly across North American markets.

Koivumaa currently serves as Head of Sales, Americas for Wärtsilä Voyage, a global leader in smart technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy industries. His responsibilities focus on developing strategic maritime solutions and identifying technology-driven growth opportunities. Throughout his career, he has led international business operations, corporate integration initiatives, network security and technology businesses, complex project delivery, and customer experience development.

Prior to joining Wärtsilä, Koivumaa served as Vice President of Channel Management at Stonesoft Americas in San Francisco. Stonesoft was later acquired by McAfee, a subsidiary of Intel.

Koivumaa also brings extensive board-level and international network leadership experience. He serves as a member of the Governing Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, a member of the Board of Maritime Blue in Washington State, and President of the Greater Houston Finnish American Chamber of Commerce.

His areas of expertise include international sales, North American market expansion, strategic partnerships, customer experience development, and technology-driven growth opportunities.

Koivumaa holds an MBA in International Business from George Washington University with a concentration in Finance and Banking.
