Wealth from Health Insights at HTGP: Ilpo Tolonen

HTGP has appointed Ilpo Tolonen – a highly experienced leader in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors – to its Advisor network. Ilpo brings deep expertise from international pharmaceutical operations and private healthcare, complemented by an extensive network across both industry and public sector decision-makers.

Ilpo is strongly committed to increasing foreign investment into Finland and supporting Finnish companies as they expand internationally. At HTGP, he will focus on strengthening strategy, international growth, marketing, and partnerships for life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceutical companies.

Previously, Ilpo served as CEO of Docrates Cancer Hospital from 2017 until February 2025, during which the rapidly growing company, under his leadership, became part of the Mehiläinen Group. Before that, he held several senior roles in pharmaceutical industry at MSD in Finland, the United States, and the Baltics. Ilpo is also well known as an active representative of his sector in Finland.
